Counselling and Psychotherapy
Welcome
People seek therapy sometimes only once in their lifetime, for others it is a space that they return to when needed and for different reasons. It can be that a person feels they would like to understand themselves a little more; they have noticed behaviours preventing them from living in the way they would like, a sense of change being needed or current situations that seem unbearable.

Psychotherapy and counselling creates time and space to reflect, to explore aspects of your life and relationships, whilst being supported by a therapist who will convey that ‘I am not you but right now I can feel what you’re showing me’.

How therapy can help

Together, working collaboratively and confidentially, whether it is within a short or long-term timeframe, we will explore aspects of your life and the challenges you may be facing with the intention of responding to your hopes of what therapy will enable, this could be:

- developing and raising self-awareness,

- gaining an understanding of yourself in relation to others

- connecting to a sense of identity and purpose

- identifying long-held and present struggles

- alleviating feelings of low mood and stress

- navigating a loss and grief

- living more authentically and meaningfully

- relationship issues

- coping with anxiety and depression

- managing feeling overwhelmed

Psychotherapy or Counselling?

Counselling and psychotherapy are both talking therapies where the relationship is at the centre of the process. Counselling is often a shorter form of therapy where one issue is focused upon. Psychotherapy is a more in-depth and longer therapy where past experiences are explored to gain an understanding of the current challenges.

Remember your survival, your journey, your scars deserve to be treasured too'.
