My approach to psychotherapy

 

Therapy is different for each person.  It can be a space of exploration, understanding, deepening awareness, change, focus and solutions.  Or it can be a space to simply talk and be.

 

I seek to create a supportive and non-judgemental space where a person can express themselves fully, being seen and heard for who they are, enabling them to connect to themselves.  

 

For me the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of therapy and I am guided by this in my work.  In my therapeutic practice, I ‘walk’ alongside a client for as long as they need, listening with curiosity and empathy, offering different perspectives whilst holding the core belief that they are the agent of their own change.

I work holistically with every individual, responding empathically and intuitively to what is brought into the space, seeking to build awareness through questions and reflections.

As an integrative psychotherapist I have been trained in and practice using a range of therapeutic models, adapting my approach according to the needs of each person.  My areas of integration include Transactional Analysis, Relational, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Jungian, Gestalt, Existential and creative mediums.
